It occupies vast region to the north-east of the Pic de Néouvielle in the mountainous massif of the Pyrenees . Ranging between 1,800 and 3,091 meters above sea level , it is a site of great richness in fauna and flora boasting over 370 animal species and 570 species of algae .

Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges
